Abstract
The spectral analyses of iron K-lines were carried out in the central
core and outer envelope regions for over 100 clusters of galaxies
observed with ASCA. All of their line intensity ratios; R1
= IKa / (IKb + INi Ka) a
nd R2 = IHe-like Ka/IH-like Ka are not con
sistent with a thin hot
plasma model. The discrepancy would be caused by the reduction of
He-like iron Ka intensity, by the higher contribution of
nickel Ka to iron Kb or by the multi-temperature
components. The preferable interpretation is the first one, maybe due
to the resonance scattering.
